On April 7th, 2025, Aitken Spence Printing & Packaging (ASPP) proudly celebrated the Sinhala and Tamil New Year at its premises, marking the occasion with vibrant festivities that highlighted cultural pride and togetherness. The event stood as a testament to ASPP’s dedication to preserving and honoring Sri Lankan traditions.

 

The celebration began with the ceremonial lighting of the oil lamp, a traditional gesture symbolizing fresh beginnings and the triumph of light over darkness. Guests were treated to a spread of traditional New Year delicacies, including Kiribath, Kavum, and Kokis, which are central to the festive season.

 

This vibrant gathering brought employees together in a joyful environment that celebrated their shared cultural heritage. A variety of traditional games added energy and excitement to the day, allowing participants to engage in friendly competition while strengthening team spirit and unity.
